Is CashUSA registered or operating legally?

Back

Yes, CashUSA is a legally registered business entity.

However, "legally registered" and "legitimate lender" are two completely different things.

What CashUSA Actually Is:

  • A registered business operating as an advertising network and lead generator
  • A company with a registered agent named Dale Hensley (for a related dissolved entity, Cash USA Hartselle, Inc.)
  • A website that explicitly states in its privacy policy: "We are not a lender or a loan broker"

What CashUSA Is NOT:

  • A direct lender
  • A loan broker that matches you with the best terms
  • A company that actually lends its own money

Your Rights as a Borrower (Even with a "Registered" Company):

Registering a business is as simple as filling out paperwork and paying a fee. It means almost nothing about whether a company will treat you fairly. Here are your actual rights:

  • The Right to Know Who You Are Dealing With: CashUSA admits they are an advertising network, not a lender . If you apply, you are not applying for a loan directly—you are applying to have your data sold.
  • The Right to Opt Out of Data Sharing: CashUSA claims you can contact them "at any time to limit our sharing of your information" . Exercise this right immediately after application (or better, before applying).
  • The Right to Dispute Unauthorized Debt: If you receive calls about a "CashUSA loan" you never took, know that CashUSA itself admits these are often scams . You have the right to demand written verification of any debt.
  • The Right to File Complaints: CashUSA has an F rating from the BBB and dozens of unresolved complaints . You can add your voice to consumer protection databases.

Bottom Line: Registration is not protection. CashUSA is legally registered, but their business model is designed to profit from selling your sensitive data—not from actually helping you get a fair loan.
