Who owns CashNetUSA?

Back

CashNetUSA is owned by Enova International, a publicly traded company (NYSE: ENVA).

Enova International is a massive, publicly traded non-bank lender. In late 2025, Enova announced its acquisition of Grasshopper Bank for $369 million—a move that would allow them to fund loans using bank deposits rather than expensive borrowing.

Why This Matters to You

  • They are sophisticated – Enova has been operating since 2004 and has funded over 4 million customers.
  • They play regulatory games – The company is actively seeking a bank charter to bypass state interest rate caps. The National Consumer Law Center is opposing this.
  • They are NOT a small operation – This is a multi-billion dollar corporation with legal teams, lobbyists, and marketing budgets.

⚠️ DANGER: The Rise of Unregistered Loan Apps

While CashNetUSA is a registered company, thousands of unregistered loan apps flood app stores daily. These apps:

  • Have no verifiable owner or corporate registration
  • Disappear overnight after collecting your data
  • Operate from untraceable addresses
  • Engage in illegal harassment (calling your contacts, sending fake legal notices)
WARNING: If you cannot find who owns an app, DO NOT DOWNLOAD IT. Unregistered apps are a direct threat to your privacy and safety. They exist to harvest your contacts and extort you—not to lend money responsibly.
