What happens if I give ACE Cash Express access to my contacts?

If you list your contacts (friends, boss, mom) as references:

1. They become leverage. ACE calls them repeatedly to "locate" you.
2. They expose your debt. While agents are trained not to say "This is about a loan," clever phrasing ("This is regarding an urgent financial matter for 'Your Name'") implies debt.
3. Embarrassment. They will call your workplace's main switchboard if you listed your work number.

What you can do:

• Immediately call ACE support and say: "I withdraw my consent for third-party contact. You may only communicate with me directly. Contacting my references is a violation of the FDCPA." (Even if they claim they aren't a debt collector, state this anyway).
