Can CashNetUSA access my phone contacts and photos?

Does CashNetUSA Access These?

According to their official statements, CashNetUSA states they do not perform traditional credit checks. They use alternative verification methods, but they do collect personal information including Social Security numbers, employment details, and banking information. 

However—and this is crucial—CashNetUSA is a website-first lender. Unlike Nigerian loan apps that are mobile-first, CashNetUSA primarily operates through their website. Mobile app permissions vary by jurisdiction and update.

Step 1: Check what the app currently has access to

On Android:

• Settings → Apps → [App Name] → Permissions
• Review each permission. REVOKE any that seem excessive.

On iPhone:

• Settings → Privacy → Contacts / Photos / etc.

Step 2: Ask yourself these questions

• Why does a loan app need my photos? (They don't.)
• Why does a loan app need my contacts? (They don't—unless they plan to harass them.)
