Is FigLoans licensed to operate?

Back

Yes—but only in six states.

FigLoans holds licenses to operate in:

  • Florida
  • Missouri
  • Ohio
  • Texas
  • Utah
  • Wisconsin

Regardless of Licenses, You MUST Know Your Rights:

A license means the lender has permission from the state to lend money. It does NOT mean:

  • The interest rate is fair
  • The lender will treat you well
  • You have no legal recourse

Your Rights That Override Any License:

  1. The Right to a Written Contract: Read every word. If you see terms you do not understand, do not sign.
  2. The Right to Prepay Without Penalty: FigLoans charges no early repayment penalty . Use this right.
  3. The Right to a Grace Period: FigLoans offers a 30-day grace period before reporting missed payments to credit bureaus . Know this exists.
  4. The Right to Dispute Errors: If your credit report shows incorrect information from FigLoans, you can dispute it directly with TransUnion or Equifax .
  5. The Right to Refuse Data Collection: While FigLoans requires certain information to process your loan (bank credentials, ID, selfies), you have the right to ask what data is collected and why . If uncomfortable, walk away.

Do not trust the license. Trust your understanding of the contract.
