What happens when ownership is hidden:

• If something goes wrong, you do not know who to sue

• There is no accountability or public track record
• The company can avoid regulatory scrutiny

The government's position: The Bank of Uganda is investigating Mangu Cash. The State Minister for Finance has stated that their actions are "illegal" . But until the investigation concludes, the company continues to operate.
