What happens if I give CashNetUSA access to my contacts?

The Ugly Reality

Once a predatory loan app has your contacts, they may:

1. Call your employer to pressure you into paying
2. Message your family about your debt
3. Threaten to "shame you publicly" if you don't pay
4. Create group chats with your contacts to humiliate you

🔥 PROTECT YOURSELF: Do not—under any circumstances—grant contact or photo access to any loan app. If an app REQUIRES these permissions to function, it is a predatory tool. DELETE IT IMMEDIATELY. Legitimate lenders do NOT need your contacts to verify your identity. 

If You Have Already Given Access

• Revoke permissions immediately (Steps above in Question 5)
• Warn your contacts that they might receive harassing messages
• Report the app to Google/Apple for policy violations
• File a complaint with your data protection regulator
