Can Ease Credit come to my house or office to arrest me?
This is a critical point to understand: debt is a civil matter, not a criminal offense. No legitimate law enforcement agency will arrest someone for an unpaid loan, especially from an illegal lending operation.
Why this threat is empty:
- These entities operate ILLEGALLY—they cannot file legitimate court actions without exposing their own illegal practices
- Physical visitation would expose their operators to criminal liability for trespassing, harassment, and operating without proper licensing
- They rely entirely on intimidation, not actual enforcement
- Even if they claim to be a "licensed microfinance bank," they are not police and cannot arrest anyone
What they might actually do (and how to handle):
- Send threatening messages about "visitors" – ignore and document
- Claim to have "filed a petition" – ask for the court case number; they will not provide one
- Send fake legal notices – these are designed to scare you. Real legal documents come through official channels
If harassment escalates:
- Report to your local police station if you feel physically threatened
- Inform your workplace security if you receive threats about office visits
- Still, do not pay—payment validates their criminal tactics
