Can NetCredit report me to credit bureaus for non-payment?
YES—and they also report on-time payments.
This is a significant distinction from predatory lenders who only report defaults.
NetCredit reports to two of the three major credit bureaus: TransUnion and Experian . They do not report to Equifax . This means:
- Your credit-building benefit is partial
- Equifax-based lenders may not see your positive payment history
- Check your TransUnion and Experian reports to verify accuracy
The Conditions for Reporting:
- On-time payments → Positive credit history (good for your score)
- Payments 30+ days late → Negative mark on credit report
- Default/charge-off → Serious negative mark for 7 years
- Loan deferral/extension → If approved and terms met, should not report as negative
Your Rights Regarding Credit Reporting:
- You have the right to dispute inaccurate information directly with TransUnion or Experian
- You have the right to request your free annual credit report from AnnualCreditReport.com
- If NetCredit performs a credit check without your permission (as some customers have complained ), you have the right to dispute that inquiry
- You have the right to add a consumer statement to your credit report explaining any negative mark
The Good News: NetCredit is one of the few high-APR lenders that actually helps you build credit if you pay on time. The bad news: 34%-99.99% APR is a very expensive way to build credit
