The Mistake of Borrowing and Repaying: I made the mistake of borrowing and continuously repaying, which spiraled my debt to 500k. When I stopped borrowing, they started calling my contacts and sending them messages.

  1. The Mistake of Borrowing and Repaying: I made the mistake of borrowing and continuously repaying, which spiraled my debt to 500k. When I stopped borrowing, they started calling my contacts and sending them messages. People from my church, my aunt's husband, and even my uncle contacted me. I felt miserable. When my uncle asked how much I owed, I lied and said 10k to avoid his scolding. Surprisingly, he told me I should have borrowed a larger amount and not pay anything back, claiming it was my share of the nation's wealth that politicians had stolen and laundered through loan apps. He advised me to tell them to meet me in court if they called. His unexpected support gave me the courage to stop engaging with the loan apps.
  2. Taking Control: At that point, I owed about 20 different apps, including the notorious ones. I activated Truecaller, stopped picking their calls, and blocked their numbers. I recognized their number patterns and avoided them. Truecaller showed red flags, and I blocked and deleted those numbers immediately. Gradually, the calls reduced. Even if they called from a normal line and I recognized their voice, I would cut the call, block the number, and move on. Today, I face no more defamation, no more calls, and no mental stress. I drafted a plan to repay two apps a year for ten years, similar to how politicians serve their terms.
  3. The Bottom Line: They won't do anything to you—no diabolism, no lawsuits, no physical meetings. Stop reading their messages; it messes with your mental health. Stop taking their calls; they will eventually get tired. They are humans like you and me, and their salaries aren't that big.

By sharing my experience, I hope to help others avoid the same pitfalls and find the strength to take control of their financial situation
